Description
This charming rural house is located in one of the most traditional villages of the Alpujarra Granadina, Bérchules, right in the heart of Sierra Nevada. It consists of two floors and a cozy rooftop terrace, perfect for enjoying panoramic views. With 120 square meters built, it offers a distribution of five bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and living room, providing a comfortable and functional space for its guests.
Upon entering through the main door, you’ll find a welcoming foyer. To the left, there is a full bathroom equipped with a bathtub. To the right, the first bedroom with its respective window.
Moving forward, you’ll encounter a small hallway with a convenient pantry to the right, followed by a bright living room with a wood stove, ideal for cool mountain nights. Continuing on, there are three steps leading to another bedroom.
Returning to the main entrance, a staircase takes us to the second floor. At the top, you’ll find a bedroom with a window, offering a lovely view of the surroundings.
To the left of the staircase, a hallway leads to another bedroom, also with a window, ensuring proper ventilation and outdoor views.
Returning to the staircase and turning left, you’ll enter the kitchen, equipped with a cozy fireplace. At the end of the kitchen, there is another bedroom, providing privacy and comfort to the occupants.
At the other end of the kitchen, a metal staircase leads to the terrace, from where you can contemplate a spectacular view of the mountain and the village.
Bérchules, a beautiful municipality in the Alpujarra Granadina, includes the villages of Alcútar and Bérchules, with a significant extension of the Sierra Nevada National Park. In Bérchules, surrounded by a wide strip of ancient chestnut trees, the houses are perfectly adapted to the slope, arranged in a stepped manner, facing the Mediterranean. It’s common to find ‘tinaos’, with plenty of flowerpots on the facades, windows, and balconies, offering a strong contrast between the white of the villages and the green backdrop of orchards and forests. Famous for its fruits, wines, and ham, it also enjoys the essential characteristic that defines the image of the Alpujarran villages: a unique architecture in its homes, perfectly adapted to the rugged terrain and the region’s climate, arranged in narrow streets where the memory of its Moorish past endures.
